Berry Syrup

This is the simplest, most straightforward recipe I've got. You'll kick yourself for not thinking of it first. It's sweet without being cloying and absolutely nourishing for your body. Just don't eat more than you need. And it goes great on Almond Pancakes.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup blueberries (or other berries)
1/4 overripe banana

Preparation:
Place ingredients into a mug or short wide-mouthed mason jar.

Microwave until steaming hot - way too hot. This will help break down the cell walls and speed liquification process.

Puree the berry/banana mixture using an immersion blender or even a fork.

Refrigerate until desired temperature is reached.

If you're dissatisfied with the sweetness, add a smidgeon (as in less than 1/16 tsp) of ground stevia leaf. Just don't overdo it!

Enjoy.
